As I will be monitoring my skin conditions, I'm writing this blog to remind me about my discovery.
I say ..
No to ice cream! No to eggs! No to sopas! ( I will miss my mother's recipe. sob) and even No to pork!
The thing that I have about my acne is that it causes me ice peak scars!!
Don't you just dread scars?
I get one to two big pimples in my face then after a day or two it gets inflamed and here comes the pus and scarring later on.
What types of acne are out there?
1. Minor League ones come in the form of blackheads and whiteheads. (No need for pictures)
Their scientific term would be "Comedones".
When your pores get blocked with oil and dirt (dead cells) you get whiteheads and blackheads.
Remember, to watch out for these because a pimple will soon emerge if these are not treated. In short, one should at least get a facial once a month or twice in a month to get rid of whiteheads and blackheads.
2. Major League acne would have papules, pustules, nodules and cystic acne in their team.
The appearances of these four are very close to each other. I'm actually having a hard time telling which is which.
Papules are red and tender with no center or head. You will just notice a red lump in your face.
Pustules have yellowish or white center that they call head. So, it is not just a red lump in your face coz it also have a head.
Nodules are hard red lump in the face. This is the type that is painful and will cause scarring in your face.
Cystic acne is the sever one. These are widespread acne that is not limited only in your face. You might see these at your back or even chest. It will also cause scarring in your face.
This is the third day I'm experiencing too much pain in my throat; it can make me cry.
Now I can't determine if I have a Pharyngitis or Laryngitis ??
I just know that if I take in lots of calls and I drink a glass full of cold water my voice will start getting hoarse and I will experience pain in my throat already.
I have to say that this kind of sickness happened to me this year only. After working for 2 years in a call center, it feels like my body is about to give in to any types of disease out there.
I can't believe my immune system is this weak now.
So, I'm reading about Pharyngitis or Laryngitis ??
From the articles, I've read.. I can't really tell which one I have.
Pharyngitis More like a sore throat with symptoms of fever, rashes and muscle pains. This is caused by bacteria.
Laryngitis Inflammation of the voice box that makes your voice hoarse. This is caused by colds or flu. It also happens when you overuse your voice like when you cheer for your fav sports team.
Now, looking at these details, I still can't figure out which one I've got.
I don't have a hoarse voice so it can't be Laryngitis?
I don't have a fever so it can't be Pharyngitis?
I will probably find out if I see my doctor tomorrow.
For the meantime, this picture best describes what I should look like for the next 24 hours.
I just feel that need to write the stuff that I did to lose weight.
To give you a background, I started gaining weight 2 years ago. This should be in the year 2008. Well it could have started in the year 2007, so I don't quite remember.
I just know that my weight was 115 lbs and I was feeling thin at that time.
When I saw my tummy getting big, I was actually amused until I started gaining more weight and feeling bad about the way I look.
Desperate to lose all the weight that I have gained, I can only remember losing weight when I worked in a call center. In 3 months I lose weight so I thought that working in a call center again will get me back to shape. But everything did not happen in 3 months. I was able to lose some weight but it took me 2 years to lose the fats. 2 years! And I have not gotten back to 115lbs yet!
Anyway, I'm still sharing the stuff that I tried in this blog.
Eat only a little
This became effective for me because when I was working in my previous call center company, I was working the graveyard shift so back then I was not eating anything for around 12 hours or more from 10pm to 6am. So I get home at 6am and hit the bed and I wake up at 3pm and eat my brunch. I guess, I only ate once in a day at the time and my body was able to handle it. This is how I lose weight in 3 months.
Move around
This is also very effective for me. See, when I move a lot I can feel that I lose weight. I know that I need to keep walking. Keep moving all the time. See, when I took my vacation in the province, I was not moving around because I don't really know what places to visit, so I just stay at home and watch TV in my room which of course made me fat.So the secret is to keep moving. Just keep walking or just do anything to make your body move. This helped me lose weight. So, I hate it if I don't get to move around. In my current office? You will see me going to the wash room, pantry, going down for a walk. If I have a chance to walk, I take it and not take a ride.
Get some sleep
I believe in metabolism. The body needs rest to burn fats. Whenever I get enough sleep I feel refreshed and I feel that I'm losing my tummy. Coz you know my sign of losing weight is when I get to see my fat tummy which I used to have when I was thin. Right now, I can still feel the fats in my tummy so I know I'm still not getting the body that I used to have. So, you need to sleep at least 7 to 8 hours in a day to help your body.
Have a vision I also believe that motivation plays a big part in losing weight. So, I'm sharing that stuff that I did to motivate me. See, every morning, I look at my naked body in front of the mirror. Feeling my tummy every day made me aware how much fats I need to lose. I always feel encouraged when I notice changes in the way my naked body look in front of the mirror. So when you see that you are shaping up, you will know that you are getting somewhere. Do not be ashamed of your body. Be naked and look at yourself in front of the mirror. This way, you can be your own judge with the way you really look when you are naked.Eventually when you become thin, you will feel and know that you are looking better. This is actually the reason why I have concluded that being thin is better than being fat. I have just hated fats in my body I guess.
Another thing, that you can do to have a vision, is to stick with your old clothes. Remember when you used to be thin? Just keep your old clothes and wear them once in awhile to check if you are getting back to your old body.
The last thing to feel your vision is to touch your face/cheek and feel it. This is my way of knowing that I'm on the right tract. See, when your face gets thin, you can feel and know the difference. It came as a shock for me so I hope this will also work for you.
Try Tea I have also tried drinking tea. I read that it can help me lose weight. But I have not really proven this thing to be true. All I know is that my body craves for tea when I feel full. I have read that tea helps in digestion. It also helps me stay awake so I need caffeine to keep moving around. So I drink tea mainly because I need it to be awake and also need it for digestion. I just observed that I glow when I drink lots of tea. My skin improves and it gets rid of bad breath.
Diet
Well, I just eat fish, veggies, chicken and a little rice and pork. This is just my diet. I will try to avoid junk food from know on especially frozen stuff.I also wanna try yogurt as I have read that it helps get rid of tummy fats. When it comes to diet, I don't have many tips but I follow the basics like eat lots of fiber and little rice. Coz rice did make me fat. I just know that there was one time when I was eating a lot so I got fat.
So, I hope all of us would lose weight. I'm still trying to lose around 15 to 20lbs I hope I can do it.
9intervals, the idea is derived from a cat having nine lives. I guess, I don't have to tell you how much I love cats!
We've been through intervals in this lifetime. Guess, I'm lucky to be alive. I don't think I would be lucky the next time. But nevertheless, we have our intervals. A certain episode that we remember in the past that affects our future. Or maybe just something that we can learn from. A little something to look back to.
