What is Life?
Someone I know asked me this question which lead me to blog about it.
I answered, life is like a box of chocolate, you will never know what you will get. This I got from Forrest Gump the movie :)
But if you really asked me how I define life, I would say life is there for me to live because there are people who loves me and there are people who are there for me to love. So to live for me is to love.
Recently, I just turned 27 and I looked back and just paused to think about how I have lived my life.
To live is to love. This is what I realized. I live to love the people that the Lord has given me. I live to love and understand even the most difficult person that cross my path. Because a friend once shared to me, that everyone I will meet in this lifetime came from God. He meant it to happen, so He can teach me something.
What is life? Right now, I can say I'm floating and for the past 2 months of my existence all I felt was pain and loneliness. Pain because I couldn't give the love that I wanted to give. And loneliness because I felt alone like no one is out there who really gets me.
What is life? For me, life goes on. We do have to move forward. We do have to live this life.
I believe I will live and love again.
What is life? If you ask me, I will still say "Life is beautiful". There will be a rainbow after the rain. The sun will shine again. And I will fall in love again.
Life is beautiful because there will still be new places to visit. New people to meet and share laughters with. New people to love and care for. New things to work on. A bunch of new beginnings in store in this lifetime.
Try not to focus on the bad side of living this life because life is something we should look forward to everyday. We only have one life and it is short if you think about it.
I'd rather wake up everyday full of love in my heart. Eager to live life to the fullest than hold back and be afraid.
Cheers to life regardless of the pain that will come my way.

Dear Yum,
I miss you tonight. I wish I can take back what I said; that I wanted to forget you, coz I never can.
But my heart confirmed that my love for you is just like a sister or a friend. I miss you.
We can never be more than friends because there are just things about us that are not fit for lovers to last. But I will always treasure someone like you in my life. I wish we can be close friends again.

Gay crush
Last night, I searched for top gay movies online in Youtube. For a change, I'm gonna watch gay movies and see its effect on me.
Prayers for Bobby is the number movie featured in the Youtube video I found. It starred Sigourney Weaver as the mother of Bobby.
I'm loving gay movies right now hehehehe. Although it felt weird to watch gay movies, I'm gonna watch them to understand gay people better.
Tonight, I read a blog written by a gay guy who used to be chubby and bullied.
The guy is so cute. He posted one of his old chubby pictures that was when he was around 270 lbs. He said he lost 100lbs by going to the gym and eating broiled chicken hehehee.
I just realized, I like gay men. hehheehehe

Things to remember in the year 2010.
Where have I been and what will I remember about 2010?
I can say that this year is about to end smoothly. Thank God.
I can say that I will remember the year 2010 with the stuff I bought, people I met and places I've been.

Thank God for my Bible study group. Having a support group helped me really read the Bible in a consistent level. I'm now at Revelations and to be honest I don't want to finish it because I can't relate to it. hehehe but still I want to change and become a better Christian. A true and genuine one I wanna be.

On love
Love is about acceptance. To accept the person that you love with all your heart. His or her past, present and future. To accept everyone and everything that this person loves.
Love takes time. And if you fall in love it also takes time to let go.
To love is to give. To give with all your heart and not to hold back. And sometimes love hurts because you give too much because you love too much. You can't stand it when you hold back.
Sometimes when you love it makes you stupid because you don't reason with love. You just go with the flow when you are in love.
Love is not love when you calculate how much you have loved.
Love is not experienced fully when you reason instead of following your heart.
To love is to take your chance on someone. In sickness or in health; for richer or for poorer, till death do you part.
Love knows no fear. It is never afraid because there is nothing love can't overcome.
Love entails sacrifice. You give your time, energy and efforts.
If you want to love, you have to take the risk.
Love does not discriminate. You embrace love with open arms.
If you like or love someone, let that person know. Don't keep your love to yourself. Let it show.
Love is this strong force that binds people together.
And I want this love.
The can't live without you kind of love.
A serious kind of love.
The grow old with you kind of love.
A vow that I wanna take before God.
To love you till death do us part.

I have to say when I was a kid; I hate to see my father smoke haha.
I really dislike smoking but then I tried it to find out why my father got addicted to it.
Good thing I did not get into too much trouble trying things out like smoking. I have to say it never became my addition although they say it is addictive hehehe.
To be honest, I have even changed my route to avoid smokers everyday when I walk to my office.
Too much smoke and pollution is just bad for me.
And so I have lots of reasons to dislike smoking.
But lately, I've been seen smoking in the office hehe. I guess, I'm just in the mood to do so.
When I'm cold, I smoke. And sometimes secretly I wish someone would share a cigarette with me and converse with me. Smoking time is a time for me to have a break and be alone to think.
I was just amused to see e-cigarettes now sold in Facebook online stores for 550 pesos. Amusing and amazing...
I've watched a couple of Youtube videos and discovered that it was indeed a good product invented by a Chinese haha.
Good thing, my father already learned how to quit smoking. I just wish the product was launched 15 to 20 years ago so my father would have used it instead.
People may have various reasons why they smoke, I have to say I just do so when I feel like it. It will never be my addiction. But hey, e-cigarette is cool! At least smoke addicts would have an alternative product that will introduce them to healthy living.

Bora at night
And so we slept when we got to the resort for probably 4 hours.
Woke up and it was already dark outside. This became our routine really coz we don't want to be out in the sun ehehehe. So when the clock hits 1pm after having our lunch, we would just stay in the room til 6pm and then just go out to eat dinner.
Here are some of the pics to give you an idea of Bora at night.
I think these would cost 200 pesos to 400 pesos each.

I regret to say that we did not orderred to have seafoods in the shore. These are not that expensive but yum yum was not in the mood to try them out with me hehehe. 100 grams will cost 100 to 200 pesos if you have them cooked.
Yum yum asked me why I was taking pictures of Isaw hahaha. It was like I had never seen one in Manila. I told her I just need to show it in my blog. The Isaw cost 10 to 15 pesos and my favorite hotdog stick cost 30 to 40 pesos. Wow right? Double the price of hotdog sticks in Manila really.
I also wanna try the dinner buffet hehhehe I love buffets! But yum yum is not yet ready for it so there is always a next time I guess.
I think we've seen quite a lot of these icons outside the resorts.
I wonder what it will be like in Bora in December..

So far these are the only Christmas images that I saw in Bora.
I have to say that I did not feel that it was nearing Christmas in Bora for the lack of Christmas lights. Weird right? I wish they could have decorated the hotels more.
Maybe they just did not put up to much decors because there are tourists in the island that don't celebrate Christmas anyway.

Our room in Bonzai Resort
Yum yum was no longer feeling well, probably coz I got her exhausted from walking, so we head back to the resort. We took a tryke ride from station 1 to station 3. The tryke ride in the main road should only be 10 pesos per person. However there are trykes who will offer you 50 pesos for 2 pax if you guys are gonna be the only passengers. I recommend that you just pay for the ordinary ride.
Finally the manager of Bonzai allowed us to check in at 11am.
We were so happy to enter our room and see our bed waiting for us.
The walls of the room are covered with native banig which I appreciate.
The room has a TV and aircon.
The room and the bathroom are also very clean.
They also have free wifi. Yum yum enjoyed surfing the MID tablet in our room.

We love our stay in Bonzai Resort.
For only 1800 pesos you can get reservations for 3 nights already.
This is when you book via Hostelworld.
We will definitely go back and book a room with them when we return. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Lunch in Jonah's
I was craving for Jonah's pancit canton so I once again drag yum yum to look for Jonah's fruit shake.
They relocated near the main road. But we saw another Jonah's in the beach front which could just be a branch.
Jonah's fruit shake is one of the must visit place in Boracay according to the blogs I've read.
I was just disappointed because they don't have papaya melon shake available. I think I orderred papaya pineapple shake which I did not finish. Oh well, Yum yum was happy with her mocha shake.
Their fruit shake is around 75 to 100 pesos.
A plate of pancit canton is good for 2 to 3 persons because they have big servings. This will cost you around 275 more or less. Sorry wasn't able to take pics.
I have to say, I did not like their Chori Burger. There was nothing special in it. I took this picture thinking I will be satisfied after having a bite.
My curiosity of th Chori burger cost me 90 pesos hehe. This is just a burger with fried egg inside, some veggies and 3 pieces of longanisa.

It was 7am when we arrived in Bonzai Resort Boracay.
We were told that Check in time is 1pm so we had to wait.
Guess the cup noodles we ate at 3am did not keep us from our hunger, so we just decided to look for a place to have our breakfast.
So..We had our breakfast in Paradiso Grill.
For only 80 pesos one can choose from any silog variants available.
I orderred Tapsilog and Yum yum orderred longsilog.
A glass of fruit shake cost 80 pesos. We orderred a watermelon shake. yummy!
Yummy breakfast. Total spending = 270 pesos plus the bottled water. Kinda expensive for our first day in Boracay but eventually we were able to budget our money.
Sorry, we forgot to take pictures in Paradiso Grill because we were so hungry at that time. Galit galit muna kami.
After breakfast we just took a stroll to station 1.
We saw some girls posing for a photoshoot. I may not be in the mood to take pictures at that time because the sun was scorching. I actually drag yum yum to go with me to station 1 because I haven't seen it yet.
I was actually planning to eat buffet with yum yum in Fridays Boracay but because it is located in station 1 which is too far from where we were staying the plan did not push through.
Like what they did here.
This is what they call "Willy's rock". Sadly, we did not have the time to go near it to take more pics.
Yum yum was facinated with the talents of the kids who made these sand art.
Yum yum always wanted to get Henna so I indulge her.
For only 100 pesos you can get henna tattoo in any part of your body. The bigger designs will cost you 150 to 200 pesos.

Cebu Pacific arrival in Caticlan
We arrived in the Caticlan airport at 6:30 am.
Thanks Cebu Pacific for the promo tickets! We booked 800 pesos tickets for two to Bora.
For your information, Caticlan airport is smaller than the Kalibo Airport. But is so much easy to get to Boracay island from Caticlan. I recommend that you book flights to Caticlan really.
To get to the Jetty Port, we just followed our fellow passengers. Thankfully we did not get lost. Although I wanted to take a long walk to the Jetty Port, we took a tryke ride for 50 pesos instead.
When you get to the Jetty Port prepare to pay:
Boat fee = 30 pesos
Environmental fee = 75 pesos
Terminal fee = 50 pesos
When you get to the other side of the island, you can take a tryke to your resort.
This is Cagban Port in the picture.
The tryke will cost 20 pesos per person. This is already cheap coz it is gonna be a long ride to the resort.

Look at the passengers at the back of the tryke. I think the tryke can accomodate around 4 to 5 passengers excluding the driver.
