We did not really plan to go to Liliw. I just feel like there is nowhere to visit in laguna that I've been to actually tour yum yum. Then Liliw came into mind.

When I was a kid, we used to go buy slippers in Liliw. I just know that the slippers are cheap there.

You can get 3 pairs of slippers for only 100 pesos in Liliw. Those are classy will just cost around 250 pesos to 400 pesos. There are even those you can get for 150 pesos which I categorized for the mid class pocket.

I did not know that Liliw would have a church made in red bricks. When we saw it, I already told myself that we will not leave without taking a shot of this church.

I'm really happy I got a shot of this church. In my research I found out that it was indeed one of the baroque churches out there that I wanna visit. Too bad we were not able to enter and hear the mass inside at that time. We just took pictures and listed to bits of the message delivered by the priest.

Yum yum said that it is not good to take pictures of the church especially if there is an ongoing mass. I kinda felt bad to break the rules but I just need to take these shots.

Surely this church is the first baroque church that will be added to my collection.

To get to Liliw...

From manila, you can take a bus to Sta Cruz Laguna in the bus terminal located in Buendia. The bus will cost 140 pesos.

Get off at Sta Cruz Laguna market and then ride a jeepney to Nagcarlan Liliw. The jeep will take you straight to Liliw proper where you will notice a street full of stores that sell slippers. The jeepney ride will only cost you 26 pesos.

In Liliw, remember to that there is a last scheduled jeepney ride that leaves at 6pm. If you can find a jeep that leaves at 5pm, you should take it. This is only if you don't wan to spend the night in Liliw. There will be no more jeepneys on your way back to Sta Cruz Laguna or wherever your hotel/inn is.

Yum yum and I almost had a big fight coz we took the last trip back home. I was insisting that we take the jeep that had only a space for one person. Yum yum refused to take the ride coz she was thinking that pick pockets thrive in such circumstances.

Thank God, we got home safe and very hungry. Good thing my mother cooked fried chicken for us.

9intervals, the idea is derived from a cat having nine lives. I guess, I don't have to tell you how much I love cats! We've been through intervals in this lifetime. Guess, I'm lucky to be alive. I don't think I would be lucky the next time. But nevertheless, we have our intervals. A certain episode that we remember in the past that affects our future. Or maybe just something that we can learn from. A little something to look back to.
