Say, one Sunday morning I was watching youtube reviews of android phones when Swype texting was repetitively demonstrated. I, out of curiosity have not tried Swype texting in my phone so I looked it up to try if this texting method will work for me.

Eventually I realized that the previous Samsung keypad setting is still the best option to go for. Swype texting is not for me because my display keypad is just too small for me to use it. So I needed to make the switch and this is when my trouble started.

I'm posting these steps because it took me half an hour to figure out how to deactivate Swype.

How to deactivate Swype texting in Samsung android phones for Dummies.

1. Go to Message. To create a new message.

2. Press and hold the blank field until the Input Method option appears

3. You should see the options to select Samsung Keypad to switch to it.

Hope this will help!

PS. In the end I got something good out of this experimentation. I discovered handwriting box 2 listed under the Keypad types. And I'm now using it if I need to send sms in portrait mode. Well I used to switch to landscape and tap the text whenever I needed to send sms. Now I can simply scribble!

How to get Handwriting box 2 in Samsung android phones for Dummies

1. In the main menu of your phone Select Settings.
And then Go to Language and Keyboard.

2. Select Samsung Keypad in your text settings.

3. This is the next screen that you will see. Select Keypad types.

4. Select handwriting box 2. So when you go back to create a New Message and you are holding your phone in portrait, you should get this screen.

9intervals, the idea is derived from a cat having nine lives. I guess, I don't have to tell you how much I love cats! We've been through intervals in this lifetime. Guess, I'm lucky to be alive. I don't think I would be lucky the next time. But nevertheless, we have our intervals. A certain episode that we remember in the past that affects our future. Or maybe just something that we can learn from. A little something to look back to.
