I'm posting the steps that I followed to make Globe Tattoo work with my Ubuntu.

The very first thing to do is to grab your Globe Tattoo and look at the back to get its model number.

My Globe Tattoo model is: E1552.

The following steps has only been tested on model E1552 then.

1. Connect the USB to your netbook. You will notice that it has not been detected by your pc initially.

2. Install usb-mode-switch. This is very important for your pc to detect the modem and not just the usb storage of your Globe Tattoo.

How to get usb-mode-switch!!!

Go to the terminal and type
sudo apt-get install usb-mode-switch

or simply go to Applications>Ubuntu Software Center>and type usb-mode-switch>click install

3. Install Gnome phone manager. This is the program that you can use to check the balance and also do supersurf.

Gnome Phone manager is also available in Ubuntu's software centre

When you had Phone Manager installed. You can find it listed under Ubuntu's System Tools section.

Open Phone Manager and go to Preference to configure the port.

Select the right port.

You will know that you are plug into the right port when your pc detects the GSM network.

4. Configure your mobile net connection.

Network set up

Right click network connections applet and click edit connections:

In the mobile broadband tab, click add.

In IPv4 settings, set it at automatic PPP and clicked connect automatically, and clicked available to all users

In the mobile broadband tab set the number (basic) as *99***1# (This field should auto populate)

In APN, set it as http.globe.com.ph (This is the correct address if you are a prepaid user)

In the PPP settings, click configure methods... and set it to CHAP

Then click Apply

9intervals, the idea is derived from a cat having nine lives. I guess, I don't have to tell you how much I love cats! We've been through intervals in this lifetime. Guess, I'm lucky to be alive. I don't think I would be lucky the next time. But nevertheless, we have our intervals. A certain episode that we remember in the past that affects our future. Or maybe just something that we can learn from. A little something to look back to.
